How has FIND changed you? FIND has changed me in many ways. I have been able to network not only as an individual but with an amazing Executive Board. The positions I have held taught me to take initiative and never give up when it gets rough. With determination and team work, a point will get across.
Why did you want to be a part of FIND? Initially, I wanted to be part of FIND because i wanted to be more involved. Later on, I noticed the sense of completion I felt when I helped the Filipino community get stronger. The friendships along the way create the cherry on the top.
Favorite snack: Apples w/ Caramel
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why? I would want to have the ability to become a chameleon. I would only want it because I could finally be able to understand every persons struggles from their past without being bias. Learning history is vital for every race out in the world and I think the knowledge creates a power within itself.

How has FIND changed you? Representing D7 in FIND has taught me a valuable lesson in not letting superficial racial or cultural boundaries limit the ability of an individual to go for certain positions. The lessons I have learned about reaching out beyond my own community are invaluable and I am thankful for every moment I am able to have this position. The challenges and issues I have learned about which are faced by the Filipino/Filipino American community may have unique characteristics but also contain issues which are universal to all of humanity. I also have learned to listen more to the demands of others and put their needs before my own needs.
Why did you want to be a part of FIND? FIND represents something larger than myself. Representing D7 in FIND has been an opportunity for me to give back to the Filipino/Filipino American communities which have taken me in and adopted me in a sense. I would be nowhere without my friends in FIND or the UVA specific Organization of Young Filipino Americans (OYFA) and this has been a great way for me to say salamat to all of them. Plus I thrive in situations where I get to meet new people. I enjoy facilitating discussion and making connections between different groups of people across large geographical boundaries.
Favorite snack: Starfruit
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why? I would love to fly because of how free it would make me feel. Plus I would be able to travel long distances without having to touch the ground.

How has FIND changed you? Though I have not changed physically, I have grown mentally of FIND. Let's use a metaphor. I am a baby sunflower, FIND is a caring florist and the basic tools for a flower to grow (water, sun) is Filipino pride. As a dying baby sunflower I was kept in the shade, shriveling up to a gloomy, dehydrated death. FIND, the caring florist, has taken me out to the fresh air with purified water where I can grow to be the most beautiful sunflower in the world. So in simple terms, FIND has given me a sense of Filipino identity that was not in my life before.
Favorite snack: I'm not sure if spaghetti is a snack. So I'll pick Honey Nut Cheerios.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why? Time control. So that I have more time to sleep.

How has FIND changed you? FIND has a great influence in my life as it has contributed to my development as a leader. I've learned to be more organized, patient, communicative, and open. Moreover, I have met so many interesting people through FIND from all over the East Coast.
Why did you want to be a part of FIND? After a couple FIND events, I really enjoyed the people I met through FIND and loved the idea of networking to other colleges. I first became the DVII rep for OYFA at UVA my third year. Despite some difficulties before events, things always worked themselves out somehow. From there, I decided to step it up and run from District Chairperson, as I am serving now. I still hope to improve significantly as a leader and a person.
Favorite snack: chocolate chip cookies and milk (duh)

How has FIND changed you? FIND has made me more aware of all of the things pertaining to our organization on a higher level. There are other schools that all report to FIND and it's been a real eye opener for me, to see what goes on with other schools, the national level of what our organization stands for, and continue to learn more about Filipino culture.
Why did you want to be a part of FIND? Because I love the idea of connecting to other organizations that are the same as yours, but across the nation. It's a really neat experience to be able to have something in common with someone in a different state and school than you, and you make new friends that you may have never met otherwise. You can learn a lot and share ideas about what your organization is doing and FIND is just awesome. (Plus our District 7 is pretty dope too :)
Favorite snack: Chocolate covered pretzels; any food in general! haha.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why? Magic, like Harry Potter, because who wouldn't want to be a wizard? haha and magic is basically limitless in what powers you can have!

Why did you want to be a part of FIND? I wanted to be a part of FIND because I wanted to be a part of uniting the different organizations and people.

How has FIND changed you? FIND has made me more aware of the Filipino presence in the East Coast, and it has made me prouder to be a Filipino! I've also met people that I would never have otherwise.
Why did you want to be a part of FIND? I wanted to connect with others from other schools and also help spread the word about FIND so others could meet people as well. As Webmaster, I feel like I need to advertise FIND and D7 as much as possible. In my opinion, D7 is comprised of great individuals schools, but it could be more closely knit, so I want to help with that connection process.
